Day of Dyeing - North Georgia - July 29
This workshop is about grounding yourself in old traditions of textiles that have long been abandoned. Natural dyeing is labor of love - so be prepared to get your hands dirty. At this workshop you will receive hands on instruction about natural dyes and other long forgotten elements of craft culture.
The dyes we are planning to cover are indigo and osage orange (regional dye). Along with dyeing with both cellulose fiber and protein fibers. Guests will be dyeing cotton and wool skeins of yarn, organic gauze cotton, as well as silk!
All meals will be provided. Plus we plan to sprinkle in a few surprises!
