Bandana Block Printing Class @ PO.MKT

Bandana Block Printing Class @ PO.MKT

This Class is in collaboration with Po.Mkt

Block Printing is one of the oldest types of printmaking, and has been around for thousands of years. Starting in East Asia, the technique spread throughout China and into India during the 7th Century. The earliest form of block printing used wooden blocks with pattern carved into them. These blocks were used on fabric and paper alike.

In this class, student will set up their block printing station, design, and print an indigo dyed bandana using Wood Blocks that Maggie Pate collected during her travels in India and Southeast Asia.
