Safe At Home with Slow Textiles

It’s been days since I’ve left the house and even had the sun kiss my skin. I recently moved to Phoenix (the 5th most populated city in the USA) from the Tennessee mountains. Living in the center of a large city is quite a shift even though I lived in NYC for many years. My coping mechanisms all involve the outdoors- hiking, reading or weaving on the porch, dyeing in the backyard, and gardening. I find that touching base with the outdoors and nature are calming. None of those activities are options for me anymore.

My next because option is to natural dye - to reinforce my connection to nature through living color. If you to are safe at home (not stuck at home) - then consider finding means to cope that aren’t binging news or netflix.

I have made all my natural dyeing e-classes 50% until life is back to normal. I added weaving kits and new natural dye kits too - Steam Color and Confetti Color Scrunchies. In the coming weeks, I will be adding videos on how to naturally dye with food waste and scraps without all the supply closet of a natural dyer!

Here is the video for the Confetti Color Scrunchie DIY Kits - There are 5 color options too.
