Natural Dyeing is a testament to the artisan, the narrative of the maker, the commitment to sustainability, and honoring Mother Nature and the past. Calloused hands and stained fingertips touch the fiber at every step of the process. We honor nature and accept her unpredictability when we naturally dye.

Just a human and natural pigments - not a machine and a chemical - made these pieces; which can make them prone to variations in hue and occasional streaks and spots. Some many factors can lead to these perfectly imperfect additions - water pH, air bubbles, differing temperatures in the same dye bath, and what time of year the dye material was harvested. They are to be expected and celebrated as we are capturing a LIVING COLOR. They remind us that nature is in control and that perfection is not obtainable.
